I do not want to put a whole lot of personal information in here because I am writing about my friends. They have a son with HPE and P-18 sydrome. He doesn't do a whole lot, but now that I've spent time with him, I have gotten to know what he can do. He CAN let you know he wants to be held, he CAN smile, he CAN make eye contact, he CAN let you know he's content. What amazes me after reading your stories is that he will be 13 YEARS old this year. He has touched me more than any child I've met. I could sit with him all day and not get bored. He truely is a gift from God. Thanks for sharing your stories. I can't wait to share them with his family. Unfortunately they don't have internet access at home, and due to their situation, they can't get out of the house much.
