Hello, in 2004 I gave birth to a healthy baby girl. A few months later we were pregnant again our son was due the day after my daughters 1st b-day. At 10 weeks gestation we were sent to get a ultrasound b/c heart beat was un detectable. We had the ultrasound at 12 weeks and found out that the baby had hydrops. From then on we did weekly ultrasounds , weekly doctor visits and genetic counseling. Our last ultrasound at 16 weeks came back and I was called in to my Doctors private office, and she explained that the ultrasound show the baby had HPE and had a 0% chance of surival. The hydrops was begining to cause fluid to restrict the movement of his organs and he was suffering. A few days later we were in the womans clinic preparing to lose our son. His remains were sent to genzine genetics to try and find out what had gone wrong. They were unable to determine a reason b/c bacteria from the D&C had infected the babys remains. We did however find out it was a boy and Gave him the name we had originally picked for him Ryan Thomas... His big sister and Little brother will always know they have an angel watching over them.
